Wellington PC Kate Medlam, PC Rob Hughes and PCSO Jordan Newborough assisted College and Arleston SNT with a search warrant at a business in Wellington Town. One male was arrested on site and taken to custody at Malinsgate Police Station. Helping other teams is something we do when needed. Apley We have had reports of suspicious vehicles parking in Apley, you may see extra patrols in that area so don't be alarmed, Leegomery A male was arrested for attempted burglary on the 3rd January in Leegomery, he was also charged with going equipped for burglary. A concerned resident called the police which allowed the night shift to catch the offender at the scene. Burglary is not common in Leegomery so please don't worry. If you see someone acting suspiciously then call 101 or 999 in an emergency. Hadley There has been some concern over stats published by a member of the public. I can assure you that this is not as bad as it first seems. Crime mapper Hadley and Leegomery | Police.uk groups violent crime and sexual crime. This can include all types of assault, common assault, domestic assault and stranger violence. Looking over the last 7 days in Hadley I can see three assaults - but non are by a stranger in a public location. A BMW that had been seen driving carelessly in Hadley was seen in Shawbury and failed to stop for police, the BMW had failed to stop on more than one occasion, after a short pursuit reaching 100 miles per hour, the vehicle was abandoned and two people made off, one was arrested shortly after. By reporting suspicious vehicles to use it helps build a picture which leads to successfully taking offenders of the road. Horton On the 7th January police attended a collision in Horton where a car collided with a wall . the driver was seen by the ambulance service where they were treated for their injuries.
